About the event

Join Orbis Overlanding for a 6 Day / 5 Night expedition across the UP from Whitefish Point to Keweenaw Peninsula. See areas of the UP few see, and experience the adventure of being off the radar in some of the most beautiful areas along Lake Superior's shoreline.

The Expedition for 2022 will be running from Whitefish Point Lighthouse to High Rock Bay. On pavement this is a 5 1/2-hour drive. Although the route is not being publicly shared, the Expedition route will cover more than 440 miles, be 75% off pavement and run for 6 days.

Expedition will run from Saturday June 25th to Thursday June 30th.

As a participant you will be responsible for providing your own rig to meet the minimum specifications (below) as well as your own gear, camping equipment and food. While we acknowledge that things happen, mechanical things break, accidents happen, as a participant your expected to arrive with a vehicle (rig) and gear capable of meeting the needs to maintain pace off road, camp each night with no services.

We will lead the Expedition, along with the team we've put together for Expedition Support and will make every attempt to help get you from point A to B without damaging your vehicle or yourself. However, we can not be held responsible for any damages or injuries. All accommodations possible will be made in the event of a vehicle which cannot complete the expedition.

Members on the Expedition will receive several items specific and only available to expedition members, these items are not finalized, but will likely be custom decals of the logo for your rig, and one to two items of apparel, such as T-Shirt, Jacket / Fleece vest etc which will have the Expedition logo and sponsors on it. We will be making decisions on good quality gear, however in the spirit of the trip, the majority of the proceeds will go to KORC.

An option will be explored for multiple items to be purchased for additional members in your rig, at a discounted price to the participant.

Cost is $450 per rig, $200 due to sign up and reserve slot, the remainder will be due between May 1 and June 1.

Minimum specs are a stock height Subaru, skid plates and AT Tires. At stock height you should anticipate some scrapping here and there.
